Results, anyone?

So who won this past week? I did, snapping an extremely sad 5 week losing streak. My key player was Reggie Bush, getting me a ridiculous 75.5 fantasy points, helping we on my way to beat my opponent by 28. Reggie had godly amounts, becoming the first player in almost 50 years to get 3 rushing touchdowns along with 100 yards recieving. Jeez Louise! He came into the game with one TD from scrimmage (1 punt return TD as well), and came out with five.
Next week, when the Saints play the Cowboys, Mr. Bush should be a stud. With this breakout performance against San Fran, Sean Payton should finally realize how much good Reggie Bush could do to his already outstanding team.

Please allow me to introduce myself- I'm a man of wealth and...

Right now, it's week 13 of the NFL season. More specifically, there are two games left of week 13. You know what, I'm sorry. For those who haven't yet explored the art of fantasy football-ing, allow me to explain. You pick a team of players in a draft, first. You want these players to do well individually, not as a team (some good ethics for the kids, no?). For example, someone like Mike Nugent, the kicker on the New York Jets (they actually had a Jets 24/7 special on him this afternoon), acts as a team mediator for the team. However, he's probably a 60% kicker (not good). These are bad fantasy numbers, so you'd avoid him in your draft.

Most leagues have a lineup of 1 quarterback, 2 running backs, 2 or 3 wide receivers, a tight end, a defense/special teams (the only team effort), and a kicker. Sometimes you can pick an individual defensive player, like Brain Urlacher (my league does not have this). As of week 13, and using these outlines, the best possible fantasy team you can have is as follows:

  • QB- Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts

  • RB- LaDanian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers

  • RB- Larry Johnson, Kansas City Chiefs

  • WR-Chad Johnson, Cincinnati Bengals

  • WR- Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers

  • WR- Roy Williams, Detroit Lions/Andre Johnson, Houston Texans (either one)

  • TE- Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers/Tony Gonzalez, Kansas City Chiefs (either one)

  • D/ST- Baltimore Ravens/Chicago Bears (either one)

  • K- Jeff Wilkins, St. Louis Rams/Robbie Gould, Chicago Bears (either one)

  • IDP (Individual Defensive Player)- Brian Urlacher, Chicago Bears

Welcome to el bloggo de fantasy football!

Welcome! In this blog, I'll talk about the latest fantasy news and blues for you. I'll even throw in some previews if you're nice to me. Point is, I'm addicted. Fantasy Football is my life (even without exaggeration it's still at least half). I check my team every...say other day. As of today, I'm on a five game losing streak. This is completely unlike me, because last year, I came in 3rd in my league. I had a very good team that year, with Peyton Manning and Tiki Barber (my favorite player of all time). In my previews, it will be normal for me to at least slightly favor the New York Giants. That should give you normal people a clue of where I'm from. If nothing is coming to mind, well, get some help. I want to welcome people to post their fantasy teams on this blog, and ask me for advice on who to start and sit. I will do the same. Kisses!
